Hi,
I am Sia Nepal,
USD Department Associate
Upaya Social Ventures
I was just one and a half years old when I was left at a child care home. I grew up never knowing who my parents were. The orphanage became my world, and the people there became my family.
After studying up to class 9, I started working at the same place that once gave me shelter. Life finally felt stable, until the organization closed, and suddenly, I felt lost all over again.
But I didn’t want my story to end there. I started searching for what I could do, learning new skills, and eventually joined Upaya as a pickup rider. During my training, I met with an accident that broke my nose. I had to stay home for a month, and honestly, I felt ashamed and unsure if I should come back.
Still, I returned.
Today, I work in Upaya’s USD department while studying for my Bachelor’s degree. Every parcel I help handle reminds me that no matter where life begins, we can still move forward, one step at a time.
