Upaya Impact
The Impact Team at Upaya, is dedicated to driving positive change and making a meaningful difference in environmental, social, and health and safety (EHS) aspects with mission to ensure that Upaya’s operations have a minimal environmental footprint, implementing sustainable practices such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint reduction.
Impact team also focuses on enhancing the social impact through community engagement, philanthropic initiatives, and promoting diversity and inclusion within Upaya.
The Impact team also prioritizes the health and safety of the employees, rider/driver and stakeholders, developing and enforcing policies to maintain a safe working environment and providing resources to support employee well-being.

To help people in the organization understand E&S Risk Associated with Operations.
To help in improving public health and safety liabilities arising from accidents, leakages, and spills during storage, handling and transportation and how to ensure they are avoided and mitigated
Adherence to best risk management practices in all of Upaya’s activities, thereby significantly reducing environmental and social risks.
Environmental and Social Management System
We have developed an Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) endorsed by the senior management aligned with Dolma’s E&S standards and applicable international and local laws and regulations.
The ESMS framework outlines a set of policies, procedures, tools and internal capacity to identify and manage Upaya’s exposure to environmental and social risks. In addition to stating Upaya’s commitment to the environment and social risk management, the ESMS explains its procedures for identifying, assessing, and managing environmental and social risk, defines the decision-making process, and describes the roles, responsibilities, and capacity needs of staff, documentation and recordkeeping requirements.
It also guides Upaya in screening operations based on their environmental and social risk, and monitoring Upaya’s environmental and social performance. It ensures that Upaya’s activities comply with its environmental and social standards.

With a focus on proactive risk assessment, safety protocols, and compliance measures, our system is dedicated to safeguarding the health and welfare of our workforce.

Grievance Management
At Upaya, we prioritize effective grievance management to ensure the satisfaction of all stakeholders impacted by our activities. Through our Grievance Management System, any stakeholder or aggrieved party can easily lodge a complain.
For complaints related to environmental and social issues, our dedicated Impact Lead oversees the process, maintaining meticulous records of each case. All other complaints are directed to our Stakeholder Engagement Officer for swift resolution.
