Job Description:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety management plans, including policies and procedures, hazard identification, job safety analysis, monitoring and reporting mechanisms, and following relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular workplace & warehouse inspections to identify potential risks/hazards and assess the effectiveness of existing health and safety measures. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop emergency response plans to address potential health and safety incidents.
  • Develop and deliver health and safety awareness and training to all employees, including new hires, driver/rider partners, on an ongoing basis. 
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate workplace & warehouse health and safety hazards, providing ongoing recommendations to management for continuous improvement by conducting regular safety inspections, safety sampling, surveys and audits. 
  • Conduct Health & Safety induction and develop and implement defensive driving and road safety training. 
  • Develop emergency response plans and oversee the implementation of EPRP, including training and conducting emergency drills. 
  • Conduct internal safety audits and ensure review of Non-Conformance with proper mitigation action plans and follow-up. 
  • Guide management and employees on health and safety matters on an ongoing basis.
  • Lead and develop an Incident Investigation Plan and implement them in the company management system.
  • Report EHS Dashboard as required monthly/quarterly/Annually, along with other reports as and when applicable.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Public health, Social work or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety management plans in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, developing emergency response plans, and implementing safety training programs.
  • Strong understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Experience in conducting internal safety audits, managing non-conformance issues, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate and analyze EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) reports, including EHS Dashboard reporting on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train employees effectively and collaborate with management on health and safety matters.
