ESMS

Environmental and Social Management System

We have developed an Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) endorsed by the senior management aligned with Dolma’s E&S standards and applicable international and local laws and regulations. The ESMS framework outlines a set of policies, procedures, tools and internal capacity to identify and manage Upaya’s exposure to environmental and social risks. In addition to stating Upaya’s commitment to the environment and social risk management, the ESMS explains its procedures for identifying, assessing, and managing environmental and social risk, defines the decision-making process, and describes the roles, responsibilities, and capacity needs of staff, documentation and recordkeeping requirements. It also guides Upaya in screening operations based on their environmental and social risk, and monitoring Upaya’s environmental and social performance. It ensures that Upaya’s activities comply with its environmental and social standards.
